HealthWorks! Kids' Museum St. Louis

Founded in 1977, the Delta Dental Health Theatre on Laclede’s Landing in downtown St. Louis offered a unique mix of fun, entertainment and education for kids. HealthWorks! Kids’ Museum St. Louis came into existence as a result of efforts to expand the Delta Dental Health Theatre to address broader, overall health issues. Those plans evolved and grew more ambitious over the next several years, ultimately leading to the closure of the original theatre after 38 years so it could be housed in the new, dramatically expanded museum. The museum focuses on the importance of dental health and the mouth-body connection that affects overall health creates a unique experience. HealthWorks! hosts on-site programs and interactive exhibits, community traveling outreach programs and serves as a community health resource for teachers, caregivers and families. Combining the art of entertainment with health education, HealthWorks! captivates audiences with interactive exhibits to promote the rapid spread of healthy habits and to create healthier outcomes for youth and families. Delta Dental of Missouri is the primary sponsor of HealthWorks! Kids’ Museum St. Louis.
